"Hagar: Studies in Society and Culture" (previously called: Hagar: International Social Science Review) is an English-language peer-reviewed journal published by the Humphrey Institute for Social and Cultural Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. The journal endorses all subfields of the social sciences and the social and cultural humanities. The Journal was inaugurated in 2000 and recently published its renewed edition after a nine-year break. Managed by the doctoral fellows of the Humphrey Institute, Hagar's mission is to establish social and cultural thought as a basis for research in a variety of fields and disciplines. The journal is particularly interested in essays that employ an interdisciplinary approach to social and cultural themes and methods.
