Fate or State?

Abstract

The article presents a letter from Oren Yiftachel, sharing his reflections on his role as the editor of the journal "Hagar: Studies in Culture, Polity & Identities." Yiftachel offers assurance that the new editorial team will continue to produce quality content for the journal and that he will remain in the editorial board and will attempt to contribute to the journal in a variety of ways. The author recalls the history of the journal at the time of the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and the al-Aqsa Intifada. He also particularly remembers the publication of the Fall 2003 issue.
