"Hagar: International Social Science Review" is an English-language peer-reviewed journal published by the Humphrey Institute for Social and Cultural Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. The journal endorses all subfields of the social sciences and the social and cultural humanities. Active from 2000 until 2023 (including a renewed edition published after a nine-year break), the journal was managed by the doctoral fellows of the Humphrey Institute. Hagar's mission was to establish social and cultural thought as a basis for research in a variety of fields and disciplines, particularly encouraging essays that employed an interdisciplinary approach to social and cultural themes and methods.
